Aluminum 7075 is an alloy… making it a great option for Aerospace CNC Machined Parts (a key use case for our High Precision CNC Milling services). It has excellent mechanical properties and exhibits high strength, toughness, and resistance to fatigue. It has higher corrosion resistance than other aluminums, making it a great option for aerospace applications.

This material—also called HC (High Conductivity) Copper—boasts 100% nominal electrical conductivity and high thermal conductivity,making it a top choice for custom CNC-fabricated electrical components & conductors. It also offers high ductility and impact strength,enabling precise, complex designs in custom CNC machining applications.

Titanium

Titanium is a high-performance material ideal for custom CNC fabrication:it delivers extreme strength & high strength-to-weight ratio (critical for lightweight, durable CNC-machined parts), excellent corrosion resistance, and heat resistance (up to 1,000°F operating temp). Its low thermal expansion & 3,000°F+ melting point support precision in custom CNC machining—though it’s more costly than metals like aluminum for CNC fabrication projects.

ABS

ABS is a low-cost engineering plastic that is easy to machine. ABS is an ideal material for structural applications when impact resistance, strength, and stiffness are required. It’s widely used for pre-production prototypes since it has excellent dimensional stability and is easy to paint and glue.

Polycarbonate

Polycarbonate is an engineering plastic that offers excellent dimensional stability over a wide range of service temperatures. It is commonly used for structural applications when clarity and impact strength are essential. It can also be used in a wide range of electrical applications since it has a low moisture absorption, good insulating properties, and an excellent flammability rating.

Surface Finish Options for Precision CNC Machining & Custom Machined Parts

Surface finishes (critical for Custom CNC Machined Components) can serve either a functional or aesthetic purpose. Surface finishes that serve both purposes are deemed cosmetic finishes, and are used for Cosmetic CNC Fabricated Parts — producing these requires additional measures to minimize defects such as hang marks and scratches from tools.

A cosmetic-grade clear finish for 3D printed parts, compatible with ABS-Like Translucent/Clear (Watershed XC 11122) and PC-Like Translucent/Clear (Accura 60) materials, enhancing surface aesthetics and light transmission.

Painting

After sanding & polishing pre-treatment, 3D parts can be finished with automotive-grade paint; provide a Pantone color code with your quote request. We also offer soft-touch painting for enhanced tactile & visual customization.

Plating

An electroless nickel plating process that creates cast aluminum/magnesium-like aesthetics for 3D printed components, ideal for metal-emulating functional & decorative parts.

Dyeing

A fast coloration method for 3D prints; with limited color options, it’s a cost-effective alternative to painting for low-volume budget-friendly coloring needs.

Decaling

A graphic application process to add logos or custom graphics to 3D parts, boosting both cosmetic appeal and functional branding.

Polishing

A surface refinement process that achieves a mirror-like finish for 3D parts; provide a drawing or reference image (to define finish expectations) for high-gloss appearance requirements.

Heat Treatment

A hardening & strengthening process for metal 3D prints, including NADCAP-certified heat treatment, hot isostatic pressing (HIP), solution annealing, and aging—improving mechanical performance & structural integrity.
